Usages:Fluorspar is the main primary source of fluorine and its compds.ln ferrous metallurgy it is used as a flux to increase the fluidity of the slag The steelindustry is the largest consumer；the chemicalindustry,second and ceramics,third. Synthetic fluorspar is used in the opticalindustry(transmits u .v.rays),anddehydrogenations.Used to fluoridate drinking water.It is used as antiseptic in timber industry,hygroscopic angent of acid –resisting concret,ivory of glass and enamel,insecticide in pesticide industry,solidifying agent in natural latex products,additive in plating with zinc,nickel,iron and filler in plastic and fluorinating agent in phalmaceuticals and drinking water.lt is used to produce sodium fluoride in man-made cryolite.
